PublicConnect and PressConnect Strengthen Their Teams with Two New Hires

PublicConnect and PressConnect are strengthening their teams with the addition of Frederikke Milling and Emma Thestrup. The appointments will enhance the firms’ advisory services to companies and organisations operating at the intersection of politics, media, communications and public debate.

Frederikke Milling joins PublicConnect as a Public Affairs Consultant, focusing on political advisory, stakeholder management and strategic positioning. She joins from the City of Copenhagen, where she most recently served as Personal Assistant to the Mayor for Culture and Leisure and worked closely with political decision-making processes.

Her responsibilities included advising on, coordinating and implementing political initiatives. Previously, she worked as a Member Secretary in the Secretariat of the Copenhagen City Council, supporting politicians from several different parties. She also has international political experience from the Danish Social Democratic Party’s international team, where she worked on projects and political development across Asia and Africa.

Emma Thestrup joins PressConnect as a Communications Consultant, focusing on strategic communications, media relations and content production. She holds a degree in Communication from the Danish School of Media and Journalism and brings experience from both the NGO and agency sectors.

Most recently, Emma Thestrup served as Head of Operations and Communications at Make-A-Wish Denmark, where she worked with the organisation’s operations, development and communications and was responsible for its volunteers and international partnerships. Previously, she worked as a Political Consultant and Project Manager within the same organisation. She also brings experience from the communications agency Geelmuyden Kiese and the press office of the Conservative People’s Party.

PublicConnect advises clients on government relations, public affairs and strategic positioning, while PressConnect specialises in PR, crisis communications, media analysis, digital communications and corporate communications.
